University Club of Connecticut
|
The University Club of Connecticut, formerly The Willimantic Country Club, nestled away in the northeast corner of Connecticut, was established in 1922 as a nine-hole golf course. Over the years, the original nine holes have been incorporated into what is now a championship eighteen-hole golf course, with the final six holes being completed in the early 1960's. As in tradition with courses established during this time, the greens are slightly smaller with modest undulations and good speed, and the narrow fairways are lined with scenic trees. Fifteen holes are bunkered, while three ponds provide the finishing touches, along with three sets of tees to allow golfers of all skill levels a fair challenge. Our vision is to restore a unique and rewarding golf atmosphere that captures the historic New England setting at The University Club of Connecticut. Our classic signature honors the timeless tradition of golf and embodies an unparalleled experience for golf enthusiasts of all levels."
